Biblical vs. Cultic Practices

We must be careful when defining a given group as a cult. Many of the criteria cited for cultic activity is only subtly different than many practices such as TV commercials, church functions, or even job training. Below is presented a comparision chart to help see some of these nuanced differences. Also keep in mind that acting cultic does not make a group a cult per se, although it should call into question those specific practices.
