Rated PG-13 for
language. Nothing too terrible.
Story
This story sucked. I like
heist movies, and that is what this was supposed to be. Instead
it's a lot of talk about heists and of the two that actually
occur one is so immoral that one character actually points it out
in the film (it's against a disabled person who is not a criminal
himself like in their other heists). They simply laugh this off.
The second heist is completely boring and unrealistic. If you're
going to make an immoral heist movie at least make it interesting!
The first hour is just a collection of disjointed character introductions.
Most of these characters simply end up serving as mouths for useless
one liners. The rest do little more than sit around talking about
how great they are. It is one of the most self-serving movies I
have ever beheld. I actually started thinking that maybe the actors
got together after Ocean's Eleven and said, "Hey, it can't
be that hard to make a movie, let's just write our own!"
{SPOILER
WARNING}
To top
it off the only law abider in the film (who has dedicated her life
to fighting criminals) joins in with the thieves for no other reason
than she likes one of them and discovers her father was a thief
too.
Suppositions
The worldview of the film
is that basically thieves are cool and can get away with anything
because they have so many connections and so much money. Besides,
this is all they are good at and they just "can't imagine working
a straight job." Oh, the poor dears . . .
Significance
The message, if there is
one, is that you should always be one step ahead of your competition.
Or something. All I really know is that someday I will have to give
an account for why I wasted two hours of my life watching this useless
piece of trash and hopefully by warning others I will escape a harsh
judgment!
