Movie Evaluations
These
evaluations are not meant to rate the entertainment value
of a given film. I might really enjoy watching a movie that
rates low because its world view is way off (e.g. The Matrix).
Conversely, I could be bored with a movie that communicates
a very good message (e.g. The Addiction). Rather, these
evaluations are made from the standpoint of a movie's message
as revealed by its story
- including how that story is told (style)
and what world view it assumes (suppositions).
Note
also that these evaluations are of the movie, not
whether or not any particular person should watch them
- that is between you and God (concerning issues of stumbling,
viz. Rom. 14 & 1 Cor. 8:1-13, please see my BLOG).
